The MacBook Air M4 is the easiest laptop to recommend for most students because it combines excellent battery life, strong performance, and a relatively affordable starting price.
Windows users should look closely at the Lenovo Slim 7i because it offers better port selection, an HDMI port, and excellent battery life without the premium price of many flagship laptops.
What Students Actually Need in a Laptop
One thing that becomes obvious after talking to university students is that most people don’t need the most powerful laptop.
They need a laptop that can:

Why I Don’t Recommend Buying a Laptop With 8GB of Memory in 2026
